Raleigh, N.C. The North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) today released the following statement ahead of Tim Kaine's campaign stop in Asheville:
"From squashed FBI requests for a public corruption probe to top aides receiving salaries from both the State Department and the Clinton foundation, Tim Kaine's visit to North Carolina comes after a week of bad headlines about the shady relationship between Clinton Foundation donors and Hillary Clinton's State Department,"
said NCGOP Chairman Robin Hayes. "We know exactly why Hillary Clinton set up her secret email server - she wanted to keep the pay-to-play structure she set up in the State Department secret. It's clear Hillary Clinton is a walking-talking conflict of interest."
Hayes continued, "Do Hillary Clinton's biggest backers, Roy Cooper and Deborah Ross, support her wheeling and dealing? Roy Cooper's email practices show he might already be taking a page out of Clinton's playbook to hide his record of failure as attorney general from North Carolinians. Roy Cooper and Deborah Ross should be asked whether or not they support Hillary Clinton's pay-to-play practices at the State Department."
