This Sunday, June 17, 2012, the Boys and Girls Club of Beaufort County will sponsor The Annual 2012 NFL Day from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This event is free to the public.

Last night around 8:40pm, Washington Police, fire and EMS responded to the 800 block of East 7th upon report of a subject who had been shot. One victim was located and identified as James David Riddick age 44 of East 7th street.
On Wednesday, June 13th Washington Police Department arrested Santez Rico Keys, age 28 of Pierce Street during a traffic stop while in possession of 177 grams of Marijuana.
Gary is the young man who called the Washington Police Department on June 15, 2011 asking for help with a drinking problem he was experiencing. He ultimately was charged with a serious felony charge and two misdemeanor charges.

Investigator Scott Williams applied for and obtained a warrant charging Bobby Ray Boone, age 58, of Benjamin Road in Chocowinity with one count of Failure to Report Address Change by Sex Offender and one count of Sex Offender Residence Violation, Residing Within 1000 Feet of Educational Property.
Shortly after entering the burning residence, firefighters found the body of the home owner, Jeffrey Warren, age 55, in the livingroom near the front door. Warren was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Monday, May 21st Washington Police Department assisted NC Probation and Parole officers at 221 Pierce St. During this operation officers seized 288 grams of marijuana.

Washington Police arrested William Earl Little Jr. age 19 of East 7th street after he surrendered himself to law enforcement at the police station without incident.

Little is being sought on charges for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon.
On June 19th at approximately 8:48 p.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office 911 Center received a report about a fire at Coastal Car Connection, 2016 West 5th Street in Washington.
As a result of information and evidence gathered during the investigation, Investigator Brad Shackelford applied for and obtained a warrant charging Scott Evans Southerland, age 49, of Highway 264 East in Pinetown, with misdemeanor Cruelty to Animals.
On Saturday May 5th, Washington Police Officers arrested Christopher Clevon Freeman, age 19 of Van Norden Street for underage consumption of alcohol. Additional charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a stolen firearm resulted from the encounter
On January 31, 2012, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a report from Beaufort County DSS of a sex offense involving a juvenile that occurred at a residence in Chocowinity, NC.
As a result of the investigation, Investigator Wesley Waters applied for and obtained a warrant charging Andrew Wayne Randall, age 56, of Baker Drive in Washington with Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.
Sunday evening around 9:40 p.m., Washington Police responded to multiple calls of shots fired and power outages in the 600 block of Wilson Street.
Narcotics distribution slowed in Edward by Beaufort County Sheriff's Department.
A search of the residence revealed quantities of marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
